Report to APICS Council, Spring 2010
The only activity by the Biology Committee since the Fall 2009 report is the APICS Undergraduate Biology Conference, and committee meeting held at the University of New Brunswick in Fredericton.
The AUBC was held, jointly with the Aquaculture and Fisheries Conference, from March 5 to 7, 2010. The total academic and social success of this conference is due to the UNBF organizers; Cheryl Patten, for Biology, Tillmann Benfey, for Aquaculture and Fisheries and their small army of dedicated student, staff and faculty volunteers.
There were twenty oral and sixteen poster presentations from ten member institutions and one non-Atlantic university. The quality of these presentations was outstanding. The award winners are listed separately. In addition to the presenters, another thirty seven undergraduate, one high school and eight graduate students attended; as well as thirteen faculty members.
