Welcome to the home page of the Earth Science Committee of the Atlantic Provinces Council on the Sciences.
APICS was originally established in 1962 and through the decades has seen growth across scientific and provincial boundaries. APICS' Earth Science Committee was created in the early 1990's.
The Earth Science Committee coordinates educational activities for students in the Earth Science and Geology departments in the Atlantic universities, often involving also provincial and federal geoscience organizations. It assists with the organization of the Atlantic Universities Geoscience Conference (AUGC) and coordinates a speaker tour of the member universities.
